Create a Project

Using the side menu, click on Project, and choose ‘Create a project’

In the opened screen, choose the project type you want to create. There are three available project types to choose from, Greenfield-Transmission, Greenfield-Substation, Greenfield-Land

ach project type card has several components that can help you choose the right project: A visual example of the project will appear.

Then, the type of the project will appear (existing number of projects from each type will be written at the end of the line, in our example, Greenfield-Substation have 1 project).

A short explanation of what this project is all about will appear. In order to demonstrate what choosing a project like this can be, you have examples laid out for you. Just click on the + icon to see an example.

To continue, click on ‘Select this project type’.

Once you select a project, the project cards will collapse into minimized view and the screen will be updated to allow you to fill your project details.

Note: You can always change your selection by clicking ‘Select this project type’ on the two other cards, or click on ‘Clear selection’ to go to the selection screen.

Let’s name our project “Test Project”, and provide a short description “this is a test project”.

Please provide additional details on your project, including project stage and priority, and indicate if this project is already completed or not. Just click on the ‘Project Details’ tab as can be seen here, and provide the details.

Choose a primary transmission. You can create a new transmission line, or choose from existing previously created transmission lines. In our example we will select from existing one.

Once we choose this option, a map will appear allowing us to see existing lines. (learn more on the map here.)

Let’s choose a line now:

Click on the desired line on the map.

A tooltip with the selected line details will appear.

Click on ‘Select’ inside the tooltip.

Click on ‘Create Project’ and you are ready to go!

The screen will be updated to display the project details, that is further explained in this section.

Viewing Project Details

When choosing a project, it’s details appear on the screen. Let’s take a look:

The project details page is divided into three main parts:

Project Details - details about your project will appear in this section.

Interactive map - an interactive map will appear here. In order to learn more on how to use the map, click here.

Widgets - these widgets are here to help you find parcels, transmission lines, alternative substations and power plants.

Your Project Details

Here is a short explanation on each component in the project details:

This is your project name and description Right next to it you will see ‘Edit’ button. Clicking on it will direct you to the edit screen. After the edit button, you will see an export button. Clicking on the button will open an exporter wizard that will help you export your project Use the star icon is used to mark this project as favorite. The favorite indication will be reflected every time you view the project Finally at the top left corner you can find indications of the project status and priority.

Following that, you have details on the primary transmission, Parcels, Transmission lines, Alternative Substations, and Power plants. In our example, none of them were defined for the project yet, therefore a link to set them up will appear.

Once you click on each link, you are scrolled down to the bottom to the relevant widget.
